Redirect checker
Paste a public URL. WhoopsBot requests it and follows up to eight redirects, showing the status and the Location header each time. JavaScript redirects are not followed.
What this check looks at
- Each hop: the URL requested, the status code, and the Location header when there is one.
- 301, 302, 303, 307, and 308 are followed. Any other status ends the chain.
- A repeat of a URL already seen stops the check and is reported as a loop.
What it does not do
- It does not run the page's JavaScript, so a client-side router or a meta refresh is invisible here.
- It refuses hosts that resolve to a private network.
- A final 200 means that URL answered. It does not mean a form on the page works.
